Stay in the Cotswolds
Our Cotswolds hotel accommodation is situated in the traditional English village of Shipton-under-Wychwood in the heart of the countryside.
As an old coaching inn, the historic building is positioned on an old coach route. Perfect to tour other authentic towns and villages in the area.
The Wychwood Inn is the perfect place to stay for Cotswold explorers, historians and romantics alike.

Cotswold rooms
We have five stylish ensuite rooms above our Cotswold restaurant, all with deluxe duvets and fluffy towels.
Our rooms are individually decorated in modern, comforting colours whilst keeping a traditional impression of the 17th century building.
Terms and Conditions
- Breakfast is served between 8:30 am and 10:00 am daily (a Continental breakfast can be set up for those guests wishing to start the day earlier).
- Children aged 16 or over are welcome to reside in their own room.
- All rooms are strictly non-smoking (include e-cigarettes).
- Dogs are allowed at an additional charge.
- All reservations must be secured with credit card details.
- Arrival time is from 3 pm with departure by 11 am.
- Any damages or breakages or missing items must be paid for.
- Special Offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounted offer.
- We reserve the right to withdraw these tariffs without prior notice.
Room details
We want you to feel comfortable and relaxed when staying with us at The Wychwood Inn so we provide toiletries, tea and coffee, fresh milk, complimentary water and all the little comforts you can expect. Homemade flapjacks are on offer to enjoy with your hot drink.
Reading lights illuminate both sides of individual beds, and we have supplied plenty of hanging space.
Each room has good WiFi and contains a flat screen TV. A Sealy mattress offers a very comfortable night's sleep. Extra pillows and blankets are available.
Our contemporary, ensuite bathrooms have mirrors with shaver sockets, mirror demisters and lights.
If there is anything more you require, just ask. We are available until 10pm at reception.

Room 1
With a super king bed, this room is a fantastic size and makes a perfect family room. Capacity for a camp bed and it can also be converted to a twin.
Room 2
This room overlooks our extensive pub garden to the village beyond. A super king bed with speckled hen throw makes for an opulent stay.
Room 3
This room is beautifully decorated room using a duck-egg colour palate. This is a good sized room even with it’s cosy king size.
Room 4
Our smallest and, some say, cosiest room. Although, we would recommend one of our larger rooms if you are staying more than one night.

We are proud to be a dog friendly country inn - whether staying, drinking or eating with us.
We welcome you and your dog for dining in the bar area following a day of exploring the Cotswolds.
Sit back and relax with a drink in your hand and your companion snuggled comfortably at your feet.
When you book, please advise us that your dog will join you. There is a charge of £15.00 per dog per night for room reservations.
A few house rules
Please keep dogs under control at all times.
Whilst with us, please ask your dogs to keep their conversation to a minimum to avoid disturbing other guests.
Guests - please let us know if you wish to bring your dog to breakfast. We then set the table for all of you.
